In an effort to get the word out, the SLO Down Pub and Ellie's SLO Down Cafe is going on TV! This Thursday the Charter Television cameras will be rolling as we create a commercial. We welcome our loyal customers to come "sit" in, as we open early for the filming. Did you always want to be in movies? This might be your chance! Come on down at 3:30pm and just act natural! We will make it worth your while with 1/2 price drinks* from 3:30-4:30pm. We are introducing some new bands this week, and welcoming back some old. We truly appreciate your support to our local artists, and are grateful that you support us, too! We have a great summer line-up planned, and hope you make the SLO Down Pub your point of destination! *individul drinks only, not bottles of wine or sake

APPELLATION BLUEGRASS BAND ~ This 5-piece ensemble creates a unique style of bluegrass, re-working traditional & familiar tunes as well as 'grassing-up some songs you may not expect! Come see this talented group share some great harmonies too!

JIM TOWNSEND sings originals ~ Every second & fourth Thursday you can come enjoy Jim, out of his blues element and performing all original pieces. He has already performed 100 original songs!

DR. DANGER ~ The doctor is back with his monthly prescription for feelin' good! With their blend of Blues, Rock & Soul, Dr. Danger will help you chase those blues away after a long work week. Be there...Dr.'s orders!

HIGHWAY 65~ With Ron Hibdon on guitar & vocals, Kelvin Gregory on mandolin & vocals, Roy Nelson on banjo, Dee Gregory on bass, and Ernie Lewis on fiddle, dobro & vocals, together they share over 185 years of musical experience. Their rich, hard-driving instrumentation and fine detail to harmony create a lively blend of cutting-edge Bluegrass.

MARC IRVING WEBER ~ This guitarist/composer has composed for orchestra, band, mixed ensembles, choirs, and a variety of solo instruments. His live music reflects this training, but also draws from jazz, folk, blues, and even Near and Far Eastern traditions.

JOHN VECENTE & CLAYTON ~ Come out this evening and enjoy some home town guitar from this duo. They will take you down memory lane with their acoustic rock/pop tunes from the '70's.

BLUEGRASS JAM ~ The Central Coast Bluegrass Society Jam Session will continue in the Pub's side room on Sunday. Don't be shy-bring your instrument & play along, or just come out and listen to some really good players sit around and jam!

BLUESDAY TUESDAY ~ Hosted by the Jim Townsend Blues Band, Tuesday has become the most popular night of the week! A variety of local blues musicians will take the stage as they provide great music to boogie and dance to. This week's theme will be Patriotic Red, White & Blue! Maybe you'll be the winner this week for a bottle of wine!
